Consignment

Writers are welcome to drop off a copy of their work for review; however, doing so does not guarantee it will be added to the store inventory. You will be contacted if management is interested in selling your book on consignment. If yes, the author will be required to complete a Book Consignment Contract, submit the consignment set up fee ($50/title) and drop off the requested number of copies. Only books by authors who schedule an Author Event will be considered for consignment sale.

Author-led Events

Self-published authors who are interested in using the Denver Book Society space for an author event, book signing or meet-and-greet may reach out via email to denverbooksocietyevents@gmail.com. We charge a $350 fee for an author event, including the consignment fee. This fee provides for one mutually agreed upon scheduled author event at Denver Book Society. It also includes event promotion on Denver Book Society social media, website, Eventbrite, in-store displays and calendar listings. Author events take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings or Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We do not allow outside food or beverage for these events. Occasionally we can fulfill requests for specific beverages or food items for purchase during the author event.
Events may include readings, conversations, Q&A sessions, or book signings, and are a great way to bring readers together while introducing new audiences to the store.

Local Author Evenings at Denver Book Society

Denver Book Society will periodically host local author panels. These will occur with 3-5 authors, with each author presenting briefly about their work and providing book signings. They are scheduled on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. The fee is $75/author with a minimum of 4 authors required to schedule an author panel.
